The city is also the state capital of Utah and is known for its scenic location, being situated in a valley that sits high above the
majestic Jordan River.

Utah is a state where the great outdoors is relished for all its magnificence.

With a dozen national and state parks, natural wonders, and top-rated ski and snowboarding resorts, Utah is the perfect destination for those who like spending their days surrounded by trees, snow, and the wilderness.

Natural History Museum of Utah

The Natural History Museum of Utah is a wonderful family activity or something to do on a cold or rainy day in Salt Lake City. Housed in a spectacular copper-clad concrete building with soaring spaces, the museum has more than 40,000 square feet of displays and educational facilities, with 1.6 million objects in its collection.

Mormon Temple

The temple may be entered only by Mormons, but very detailed models of the spectacular interior are on display at the visitors' centres that are open to all.

Joseph Smith Memorial Building

The building is 10 stories high and is made with glazed terra-cotta bricks, which shine in the strong Utah sun.

Zion National Park

Nature has carved a fantastic geological conglomeration for visitors to admire: slot canyons, colourful sandstone cliffs, towers, monoliths, rivers, and waterfalls. Located in southwest Utah, the park is best known for its magnificent Zion Canyon red cliffs.

Arches National Park

Humans have been living in the area for 10,000 years and you can see colourful, large pictographs a few miles north of Moab.

Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands National Park is world-famous and one of the best places to visit in Utah. You can barely get a glimpse of the rivers from the rim, but you will see many sandstone pillars and canyon mazes.

What Animals Live in Utah?

As is the case with most badgers, the badger found in Utah has a stocky body with a low centre of gravity and powerful legs with huge foreclaws that may be up to two inches.

The habitats of moose are usually protected from predators and extreme weather as well as full of edible vegetation such as shrubs and young trees.

Gila monster

The animal lives in burrows, scrublands, under rocks and places with easy access to water.
